I know it’s only the beginning of November but preparing this month’s box has put me in a festive mood already and I’ve even caught myself humming a few carols!
The ‘12 Days of Christmas’ is one of my favourites, but if you really think about it the gifts aren’t particularly practical – as hilariously narrated in this Frank Kelly parody (a rather eloquent Father Jack to all you Father Ted fans).
All in all, if you’re really set on the whole 12 gifts thing, all those birds in the first few days sound particularly high maintenance, so a year’s subscription of Irish at Heart would surely be much a more suitable present *subtle wink*.
Until then, we’ve given the classic carol an Irish twist – which of the days do you find most appealing?

I’ll take #11. I love Irish fiddling!
I could do day number 7 for the rest of the year – I feel like we’ve all earned it!

By the way I love the Derry Girls series.
Lovely. This is inspiring me to do twelve days too.
